More sales to come!

Wow, is all I can say about our first Crafters' Exchange Consignment Sale!  We had a tremendous response from all the customers about the sale.  I had no idea what to expect.  I am thrilled with the turnout, with it being a first-time event.  I had so much fun meeting so many new people and talking with everyone that came to shop.  Everyone was asking when the next sale is going to be!  So....plans are already brewing for another sale this fall.  Stay tuned for more details to come.  Thank you for coming to visit us and shop with us and support the Rutherford County Domestic Violence Center.

Craft Sale Shoppers

I am getting excited about our first crafters' sale!  Spread the word to your friends to come shop.  There has been a very large donation of items to our craft sale, and there will be loads of Christmas ornaments and silk flowers for sale.  Time to shop will be here before you know it.  See you next week!

Tagging Guidelines Updated

The tagging guidelines have been updated with a new type of tag that may be used to price your items, if an index card will not work for you on some items.  I have found that using marking tags with strings work great for silk flowers.  Check out the instructions under the tagging guidelines tab.

Consignor Registration is Open

Consignor registration is now open for this sale.  There is an online registration form that you can fill out, and there is also a link to a printable form, if you wish to mail in your registration.  The links are under the consignor tab on this web site.  The deadline for consignor registration is April 18, 2014.  If you are registering online, please be sure to mail your consignor fee immediately after registering.

We ask that you pass the information about our sale to anyone you know that does any types of crafts.  We are hoping for a great turnout for our first event, and we want to give as much to the domestic violence center as possible.

We look forward to seeing you in a month!

It's time to start cleaning out and pricing your stash!  Consignor registration forms are ready!  Consignors can print out this consignor registration form and mail it in with their $10 consignor fee, or you can fill out this online registration form, but you will still have to mail in your $10 consignor fee.

It's time to start spreading the word.  Please pass along this information to all your crafty friends.  We would love to have lots of consignors for our first event.  Volunteers are needed for the sale.  Please contact me as soon as possible if you are able to work at the sale.  All volunteers will be entered into a door prize drawing!  You can e-mail me at pjpettymartin@aol.com or call me at 615-542-1669.

Planning is underway for our first event!  Flyers and brochures are ready and are already being distributed around the community.  If you would like a flyer or brochure, contact me, and I will be happy to e-mail one to you to distribute to your friends, or just tell them about the Web site, and they can get all the details here.

Volunteers are needed to help with the event.  If you are interested in helping to plan the event or helping at the sale, contact me, and I will get you on the volunteer contact list.  We need door prizes for the event.  If you have connections with businesses or individuals that would like to donate a door prize, I have a letter that you can submit to them for their donation.

I am so excited about this event and looking forward helping the domestic violence center.

ABOUT CRAFTERS EXCHANGE

Our first crafters exchange will be in April 2014, and a portion of the proceeds will go to help the Rutherford County Domestic Violence Center.  The idea came about because of donations that are being made through Miche's Hope Program.  I am a Miche Independent Representative, and through Miche's Hope Program, they donate 100% of the proceeds from every Hope Shell sold to cancer research through the Huntsman Cancer Institute.  One month out of the year a portion of the Hope proceeds goes to a specially-selected charity.  In 2014, they have selected their donations to go towards the cause to help battered women.  Since it has been my passion to coordinate a crafters consignment sale, I decided to coordinate the first sale during the same month that Miche has selected their donations to go to battered women and start a new community consignment sale and donate a portion of the proceeds to go to the Domestic Violence Center as a way to give back to my local community.

I am excited about this event, and I hope you all will join me in making this event a success for the Rutherford County Domestic Violence Center.  You can view the Center's Wish List by clicking on the link and scrolling to the bottom of the page to view their list in pdf format.  We will have boxes at the sale set up for anyone that would like to bring items to donate to the center.  You can also click on the link here to view information about Miche's Hope Program.
