CHARITY INFORMATION

For each sale that we coordinate, we select an organization to either donate a portion of our proceeds to and/or to donate the leftover items from our consignors after the sale.  We choose a local nonprofit organization in our community to do a fundraiser for and/or to donate items from their wish list

All items remaining after the sale that consignors do not wish to pick up goes to SMART Art + Craft Supplies in Nashville, TN.  100% of SMART profits benefit Progress, Inc. programs to promote the health, happiness, and safety of adults living with intellectual disabilities in our community.  You can find out all the information about their organization on their website.

See the information below about charities we have donated to through each of our events.

Spring 2022 Charities

We have selected Last Call 4 Grace Ministries and Love One Another Blessing Box as our local charities to donate to through our upcoming spring sale.  LC4G provides hot meals, pantry items, clothing, personal hygiene items, and the love of Jesus Christ with the most vulnerable members of our community who are homeless, near homeless, or economically disadvantaged.

Love One Another Blessing Box collects non-perishable food items and hygiene products for those in need in our community.

Bring your items to donate and drop them off at the sale.  You will receive a door-prize drawing ticket for every item donated.

DONATIONS FROM PAST EVENTS

Fall 2021
We gave back to the Gladeville community by donating a portion of the ticket sales for shopping at this event to the Gladeville Community Center, which strives to provide services supporting the betterment of the local community.

We also donated a portion of our leftover crafting items to The Waters of Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center to be used for resident activities.

Spring 2021
We sponsored a donation drive for the MTSU Student Food PantryIn Fall 2012, MT One Stop and the Student Government Association (SGA) started a student food pantry for MTSU students who were unsure where their next meal was going to come from. Due to an increasing number of hungry college students, it was important to address this need on our campus. As the need continues. we hope that we are able to address the needs of our student body through the food pantry.

We were so excited for the large amount of donations given by our shoppers and consignors.

We were excited to partner with a new charity for us this year, Sew for HopeTheir program enhances the lives of refugees in Nashville by developing marketable skills through learning English, business, and sewing skills to help them earn income to support their families.  And all of our remaining craft supplies were donated to SMART Art + Craft Supplies.

Summer 2019
The charity we selected this year was End Slavery Tennessee, which promotes healing of human trafficking survivors and strategically confronts slavery in our state.  We did a gift card donation drive and were able to help many survivors through the use of gift cards and monetary donations.

Spring 2018
We were able to split up items and donate to several great charities through our spring 2018 event.  Our local charity was The Nourish Food Bank.  We collected canned goods and monetary donations from consignors and shoppers that were donated to this organization. You can view their wish list on their website.  We also gave items to SmART!, a business that we give to through every sale.

Our new charities for this year included Patrick's Everyday Warriors, which strives to bring awareness to effects of pediatric cancer on the families and specifically the siblings. They provide emotional support and help siblings better communicate with their parents, the medical staff and even in their own thoughts. You can get more information from their website.

We donated all of our leftover yarn to Knit and Crochet Tennessee. They use this yarn to provide baby blankets and hats for Nashville General Hospital and over 30 other charitable groups!  We have included their website for you to get more information.

We also donated scrapbook items to Royal Scrapbook Club 4 Busy Women.  This company creates and donates pre-made scrapbooks every year to the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation.

All of our leftover ribbon from the sale went to Bows & Ballcaps, which is an organization dedicated to offering love and support to kids fighting cancer, especially those who have lost their hair from their treatments.  Check out their website for more information.
Spring 2016
We donated a portion of our proceeds from our spring 2016 sale to the Tennessee Fisher House, located in Murfreesboro, and also collected and delivered donation items from their wish list.

The Tennessee Fisher House is located on the campus of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN.  For members of our Armed Forces, retirees, veterans and their families, the Fisher House offers shelter and support during a medical crisis.  It offers a comforting home environment when a loved one is receiving care in an unfamiliar place during a stressful time of serious illness or injury.  Most importantly, due to the generosity of people like you, no family pays for their stay.  You can find out more information about The Tennessee Fisher House on their website.

We also donated the leftover items from our consignors to SmART!, Scrap made Art, in Nashville, TN.  This organization creates viable employment for people with intellectual disabilities. You can read about their organization on their website.
